London thoughts

It was Sunday morning in Sandyford, Dublin and we decided to book those tickets to England. We had promised that three months ago in Mexico City and we had to turn it into reality.

When we arrived to the bus, train and tube station, we walked rapidly to get the bus that had to get us to the London Bridge station. When I was enjoying the stunning city, my mate told me: hey! Look smoothly at your left. No sooner had I done it, than I started to cry. My heart was about to explode, I was infront of the place that I had just seen in photographs and now it was a few steps away from me.

We hop off the bus and started to walk with high enthusiasm towards the spot. Even though we were extremely exhausted, even when our backpacks were way too heavy, nothing was able to minimize our joy. We first act as common tourists, then we started to enjoy every little detail, I took time to contemplate the names of the people who helped to build the bridge, outstanding sailors and captains that were marked in the floor, little do visitors notice that.

I couldn't believe that I was there, that I was breathing that air, I took the camera and captured this image, the very first one of the spot. We were feeling far blessed, privileged, lucky and honored.

Today after reading the news regarding the outrageous attempt, my mind started to evoke many thoughts: had we been there, we wouldn't have been capable to achieve or goals, to lived our dreams, by all means our world would've ended five months ago.

Humankind is the worst specie in the world to me and again I could confirm that hate and alienation reign, religion and class barriers can be strong enough to destroy everything that cross their way. I feel beyond devastated.
